Museum of Modern Art

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City plays a major role in developing and collecting modern art, and is one of the largest and most influential museums of modern art in the world. Founded by the Rockefeller Family in 1929, MoMA's collection offers an overview of modern and contemporary art, including works of architecture and design, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, prints, illustrated books and artist's books, film, and electronic media. At The Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1, we celebrate creativity, openness, tolerance, and generosity. We aim to be inclusive places—both onsite and online—where diverse cultural, artistic, social, and political positions are welcome. We’re committed to sharing the most thought-provoking modern and contemporary art, and hope you will join us in exploring the art, ideas, and issues of our time.
