“With a photographer's eye, a designer’s hand, and an Italian heart.” Designer and photographer Angelo Chiacchio shares this and other life lessons learned during his 300-day solo journey around the world to visit some of our planet’s most unique and fragile places. Join MODA’s executive director, Laura Flusche, in conversation as we examine the destinations, cultures, and people inside Angelo’s most celebrated project, EPHEMERA. Interact with Chiacchio as we conclude this event with a moderated Q&A! Born in Basilicata (Italy) in 1986, Angelo studied design all around Europe: Politecnico de Milano, KISD a Cologne, ENSCI-Les Ateliers in Paris, Waag Society in Amsterdam. Today he’s based in Paris where he researches the uses of technology to design its future with innovative products and exhibitions. In 2010 he joined design studio Nodesign.net. He is also a photographer and filmmaker, co-author of Italia Senza Tempo, a project to tell about Italian natural heritage, and author of EPHEMERA, a mobile documentary that took him to explore some of the most fragile realities on the planet.
